Exhibit Design
This exhibit displayed at North Dakota Heritage Center in Bismarck, Creating Sakakawea, describes how this young woman became, next to Pocahontas, the best-known American Indian woman in the nation and a symbol of North Dakota.
40 & 8
This 5’x5′ panel tells the story of the “40 & 8” boxcars full of gifts sent to each state as a thank-you from France at the end of WWII. North Dakota was one of the few states to keep their boxcar and it is now displayed at the state capitol grounds.
