Southern States is one of the largest farm supply co-ops in the US, found mainly on the east coast and southeast. While their retail side has always been well known (think something similar to True Value Hardware or Tractor Supply Co in the midwest), the Agronomy section of the business needed some attention. For the last year, Catherine has been working on a huge project in conjunction with Dee Weeda Communications – the development of Agronomy marketing for Southern States.

Sell sheets, social media posts, direct mailers, posters, postcards, and more all had to be created from scratch.

Using the established brand assets from the retail side, Catherine added to the brand guide to bring in a look and feel that would better suit large scale farming operations. Careful attention to the correct photography ensured the right crop at the right season. Illustrations were utilized when photography wasn’t available. And Dee’s steady PR and writing guidance steered the agronomy communications into a new era of useful and practical advice for the modern farmer.

Catherine absolutely loves the creative process of building a brand look and feel and continues to create new material for Southern States during the busy spring planting season.
