Our Marketing Process
A peek into our navigation
Phase 1: Discovery & Onboarding
Set the course
Let’s get to know each other! This is where we’ll ask lots of questions. We’ll find out what you need, how often you want to chat, your favorite way to get reports, and how you operate.

Phase 2: Marketing Audit
Look under the hood
This is where we dig around and see what you already have going on. We’ll evaluate your existing marketing and see where there might be room for fine-tuning or a complete overhaul.
Phase 3: Project Planning
Map it out
Time to unleash our favorite people: the project managers! We’ll build out your project with key touchpoints and results. Then we’ll plug it all into an efficient workflow system. Each component will get broken down into clear tasks and deliverables.
Phase 4: Creative Development
Make things
This is where we mockup content and get your approvals before moving full steam ahead. Together, we’ll make the concepts perfect and proceed into the final deliverables phase.
Phase 5: Quality Assurance & Review
Make sure those things work
We’ve reached the Q&A phase of our journey. After we create your deliverables, we ensure the details are tidied up before you lay eyes on everything. Then you get your chance to go through it with a magnifying glass. Typically, we fine-tune content for 1-4 rounds.

Phase 6: Final Delivery & Client Feedback
Review and consent
It’s time to sit around a metaphorical campfire and talk about what a journey it has been. First, we make sure you’ve gotten everything you need and discuss the performance. Then we get your feedback. You’ll tell us things you liked and things you’d want to try next time.
Phase 6.5: Continuous Improvement
Course Correction
If we discover we made a mistake, we’ll set up an action plan to make it right. We’re all human, and we’re humans who believe in accountability.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does a typical marketing project take?
It depends on the project, but generally, small print pieces such as the design of brochures or business cards require about a 2 week turnaround, while larger website redesign projects typically take about 3–4 months.
What does the first meeting look like?
We typically hold a kickoff meeting (in person if possible!) to talk through your goals for your company and for your project to make sure we are all on the same page. We walk through our reporting structure with you to make sure it addresses everything you need, and we set up a check-in cadence that works for both the project needs and your team.
How do you communicate with clients throughout a project?
After we set the check-in cadence at the kickoff meeting, we typically meet virtually bi-weekly for larger engagements and monthly for those that are less involved. Between meetings we communicate with clients via email with updates and the occasional check-in phone call. Our reporting process usually includes a progress report for bigger projects (such as developing a new website) so that members of your team who aren’t on the progress meetings can still be apprised of how the project is going through a quick high level overview.
Do you work with businesses outside of the Naperville/Chicago area?
Absolutely! We have several clients out of state and we are willing to travel.
Do you offer ongoing marketing support after a project is complete?
Yes, many clients start working with us on a project basis and then move to long term ongoing support. We become their right hand team for the various marketing needs that come up.
Do you require a long-term contract?
We do offer long term contracts, but we also work on a project basis, and we have the Business Boost program for scaling businesses that aren’t quite ready for a full agency relationship yet, but still want to grow effectively.
